EBRD Belinvestbank Institution Building Programme (IBP) – Strengthening Capacities for MSME Lending project has been completed. Two years and a half the BIB’s experts and TA Consult team have been working together to improve the efficiency of the bank’s MSME business.

Jahan Shamsiev, Senior Banker of Financial Institutions Department of the EBRD and the BIB project’s Operation Leader commented that transformation of MSME business would stand out in particular. The project actually became a pioneer and a herald of a more global transformation that began at Belinvestbank six months after the launch of the MSME project. The project was also impressive in terms of its coverage and engagement of a huge number of specialists from all regions of the country.

In the nomination “Best Regional Office” the first place was won by the Minsk Regional Office.

 Ekaterina Daderkina (Vitebsk), Kristina Lyalko (Brest), German Vertinsky (Minsk), Alexander Pismennikov (Zhlobin) and Irina Makarets (Brest) made the top five of the credit analysts.

 Winners were awarded with diplomas and memorable gifts from the bank, EBRD and TA Consult. The super prize MacBook Air established by TA Consult was won by Ekaterina Daderkina.

TA Consult additionally established a special nomination – “Most Promising Credit Analyst”. The prize went to Herman Vertinsky, a young specialist, who has worked about one year at the bank, worked without a supervisor for a long time and studied all details and nuances of profession on his own. However, he demonstrated remarkable performance. “There were clearly defined criteria for all other nominations: the number of loans disbursed, the size of outstanding loan  portfolio, etc. In this nomination we relied on the opinions of our main experts – Anna Avrusevich and Darya Tarasova. The meaning of this prize was to give credit to a person who did something unique and unusual”, Jahan Shamsiyev commented on the nomination and the principle of choosing the winner.
