Project description:

The project’s primary goal was to improve access of population and small business to finance and credit resources by developing microfinance services and raising financial culture of population.

Achievements:

Three seminars targeting loan officers and management level staff of banks and financial institutions were organized. The seminars focused on the following topics:

• Basic MSEs lending operational principles;
• Integrating microlending activities into a bank’s operations;
• Regional development, launching microlending outlets;
• Selecting and training loan officers, staff motivation;
• Attracting clients, client-loan officer interaction;
• MSEs lending credit cycle;
• Basics of financial analysis (BS, P/L and cash flow, financial ratio analysis, on-site analysis);
• Loan monitoring, delinquency management;
• Preventing frauds;
• Internal audit and MSE loan portfolio monitoring
