Project description:
As a part of the project “Enhancing Human Security in the Chernobyl Affected Areas of Belarus” of the United Nations Development Program TA Consult prepared and delivered the assignment requested by IFRD and provided the following services:
- Studied the track record of development of microfinance mechanisms in Belarus (during visits to the local advisory commissions, Stolin district);
- Made a report/presentation on microfinance mechanisms operation (security funds and repayable funds, noncredit cooperative societies) in European countries, analysis, obstacles, best practices;
- Developed recommendations:
- on improvement of the works / development of microfinance mechanisms in Belarus following the visits to the districts and a conference;
- enhancement of sustainability of microfinance mechanisms.
- Hold a training session for experts of organizations with a focus on cooperation with international microfinance organizations for fund raising.
