On December 11-12, 2014 TA Consult experts delivered a two-day workshop in agricultural technology. The workshop was held within the framework of USAID Agroinvest project for loan specialists of the project’s partner credit unions “KhKVD,” “Slobozhanska,” and “Karat”.
Five training modules on agricultural technology developed by TA Consult experts for financial institutions covering most relevant topics for Kharkov oblast, such as field crops, greenhouses, dairy, pig, and poultry production, were presented at the workshop.
The workshop was attended by 17 representatives of credit unions. The main goal of the workshop was to ensure participants’ understanding of major elements of agricultural production technology and sales specifics.
Loan officers studied in practice principles of calculation of the actual costs of the major agricultural products on the examples of real farm households.
To ensure most effective perception of the information by the participants every module was supplemented by practical exercises and included video and photo presentations.
At the end of the workshop all the participants successfully passed a test to evaluate their learning progress.
