TA Consult designed and delivered a two-day training course Microfinance for Gainfully Occupied Population and Micro Enterprises in Rural Areas. The training was organized on 22-23 November 2017 and focused on the following topics:

·      Effective client acquisition in rural areas – marketing;

·      Tools for client’s preliminary assessment (preliminary scoring);

·      Expanded client’s assessment techniques – expanded scoring (on-site analyses of agricultural producers, financial analysis tools, cash flow, profit and loss statement, cross-checking, product balance sheet, financial ratios, etc.);

·      Loan portfolio management and monitoring;

·      Customer support and follow-up, reducing risks of non-repayment, preventing delinquency;

·      Delinquency management, fraud scoring, soft collection and legal collection.

The training course was developed by TA Consult within USAID project “Facilitating Access to Finance by Rural Population of Belarus” implemented by Republican Microfinance Center.

The objective of the training was to increase knowledge and skills of the target participants in such areas as:

·      Customer acquisition and customer relationship;

·      Social and financial analysis of micro and small agricultural producers;

·      Delinquency prevention and management;

·      Credit risk management in agricultural lending.

Target audience of the training were representatives of Belarusian leasing companies and non-commercial microfinance institutions, MSMEs, associations and institutions for entrepreneurship support and the National Bank of Belarus (20 participants were trained).
