On April 30^th 2019 TA Consult completed the implementation of Belinvestbank: Institution Building Programme, a 30 months project in Belarus financed by EBRD.

The overall objective of TA Consult in this project was to assist Belinvestbank with institutional strengthening, further commercialisation and increasing its investment attractiveness through the IBP implementation, which focused on:

·                Corporate Governance, organisational restructuring, strategic business planning;

·                Business operations in retail, MSME and corporate segments, including commercialisation of lending under state programs;

·                Risk management and internal control function, AML/CTF;

·                IT function to ensure it can fully support business operations;

·                Human resources (“HR”) function;

·                Product development and marketing activities;

·                Environmental and social management system.

According to the Consultant and the project stakeholders – Belinvestbank and EBRD – the objectives of the project have been fully met. BIB has conversed into a more efficiently run and transparent business operation and the bank’s investment attractiveness has increased.

The project’s closing ceremony took place on 24^th May 2019 in Minsk.
