Project description:
The objective of the diagnostic study was to identify the status of microlending in Belarus, including the assessment of the demand and supply, key stakeholders and their roles, legal and regulative environment, Bank and NBFI operations and operational environment.
TA Consult gathered information covering the following aspects:
- Assessment of regulatory and legal environment for lending to MSMEs;
- Analysis of the aggregated loan portfolio issued to MSMEs by size, tenor and other categories. Assessment of trends and tendencies;
- Assessment of economic environment and recent trends in the loan portfolios, including NPL.
